A look behind the scenes

DRONE DETECTION

The innovation behind it

The neuronal safety bubble

Once the CLEARDRONE detector is on board, the aircraft has the unique ability to detect drones.

Drones and their remote controls constantly emit electromagnetic waves and exchange information with each other via these radio links. The way in which this information is structured, which frequencies are used and how often radio channels are changed or skipped create a unique fingerprint in the respective frequency spectrum. The highly sensitive electronics in the detector recognize these fingerprints and are even able to identify the manufacturer of the drone or the transmission system used by the drone.

The radio waves emitted by a drone and its remote control are picked up by the detector system, measured and these measurement points are transferred to an intelligent algorithm.

During these highly complex calculation steps, an approximate value for the distance between the drone and the detector module is also determined. These distance values are visualized on a smart device.
